Rock City Sugar Arts

OVERVIEW — The annual Rock City Sugar Arts Show, presented by Arkansas ICES and Pulaski Tech Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute in Central Arkansas, features the creations of local junior, student, amateur, and professional cake, cookie, and confection artists. Participants compete in a range of divisions showcasing different techniques and talents while adhering to the show’s chosen theme. PROJECT — Fairly new to Little Rock, the show was in need of branding and event materials to attract participants within the sugar arts community and promote the experience to the public. I wanted the branding to reflect the creativity and diversity of each competition entry, while highlighting the fun, playful nature of the event. The designs incorporated contrasting fonts in varying sizes and weights with simple illustrations and textures to create a vibrant and energetic collection of signage, posters, tees, and totes.
